Our equity-centered approach creates academic environments designed for the advancement of students.

Freedom Writes is an education company designed with the identities of Black and Brown students in mind.

Our mission is to create equitable educational experiences for all students, especially BIPOC students who have traditionally been underserved in PK-12 learning spaces. We support educators in a) creating equitable learning experiences for all students, b) implementing identity-based programming, and c) using an intersectional lens to inform pedagogical practices. We accomplish this through curriculum auditing and development, out-of-school time programming, and professional development and coaching.

Literacy 4 Brown Girls

Too often, the identities and experiences of Girls of Color are neglected in their learning spaces. We offer identity-based literacy programming designed with their identities in mind.

Curriculum Audits

Curricular materials are often created by large learning companies that do not consider the identities of BIPOC students. We assess learning materials and help to develop culturally relevant curriculum.
